1-on-1 with Marjan

In the 1-on-1 sessions I help you to become happier. How do you become happier? By looking at what makes you unhappy and (dis)solving that! That is why we make an inventory of the things that make you unhappy in the very first session: who makes you angry, who upsets you, who or what bothers you, who disappoints you, who doesn't do what you want? Just think of a partner who does not listen to you, a colleague who never sticks to his or her agreements, children who leave everything lying around and never even help. I listen to your story and together we examine your thoughts. You will become more aware of what your life is all about! I use The Work of Byron Katie. If you would like to experience how that works, please request a free inventory session here. The sessions take place via Skype or Zoom.

"Marjan, thank you for the short but powerful session.
I learned a lot and my fears are largely gone!"

What is The Work?

The Work is a simple and powerful process developed by Byron Katie - an American woman who woke up one morning after years of depression and suddenly realized that it wasn't the situation that caused her anger, pain, or grief, but how she felt about that situation. It wasn't that other people were making her feel uncomfortable, but what she was thinking and believing about them that was throwing her off balance. It turned out to be a radical change in her life! And by now, also in mine and in that of many others.

Every time you experience tension, discomfort or frustration it's because you hold on to an opinion or a thought. As soon as you examine that thought, it dissolves and loses its power over you. What remains are new possibilities and clarity about what is important for your life. In short, you become happier and experience more inner peace.

I will gladly take you along in the search for your truth!

What does The Work bring you?

The Work is hands-on and structured. And above all, it is very simple! By doing The Work on a regular basis, you are able to stop your automatic, learned reactions and choose a different direction. This means that you deal more effectively with your time and energy. And that makes you happier, calmer. You discover that there are always more possibilities than you thought. Investigating your thoughts is not just another mental trick, but rather a surprising eye-opener!

It greatly reduces your need of other people's appreciation, which makes you experience more autonomy. You feel freer, more connected to yourself. Because you are honest with yourself, you can also be more honest and transparent with the people around you. Your relationships (with your partner, your children, your siblings, a colleague, etc.) become better, simpler, and more open.
